Wild Safari
Naturalist guide paddling an orange inflatable kayak on a river in La Fortuna
Our philosophy

Experience. Safety. Respect for the river.

Every safari is led by a certified naturalist guide who grew up reading these waters. We move with the current — never against it — with premium gear, deep local knowledge and a quiet reverence for the river.

The 6-guest promise
6max

Guests per raft. Always.

Six guests. One guide. Undivided attention.

Most operators pack twelve or more people onto a single raft. Not us. Limiting each safari to 6 guests means your guide can answer every question, point out every animal and react to the river the instant it changes.

Safety & gear

We don't cut corners — we round them.

Every protocol, every piece of gear, every guide is chosen with one question in mind: would we put our own family on this raft today? If the answer isn't yes, the river can wait.

  • Mandatory safety briefing before departure (in your language)
  • Live water-level monitoring at three upstream stations
  • Maximum 6 guests with one certified guide per raft
  • Every raft inspected before and after each descent
  • Free date change if conditions force a cancellation
  • Premium helmets

Sweet Protection Strutter helmets with adjustable retention, certified for whitewater rescue. Replaced every 24 months — no exceptions.

  • Type V life vests

USCG Type V whitewater vests sized to each guest. Buoyancy verified at our put-in before every departure.

  • NRS Slipstream rafts

Professional self-bailing rafts with reinforced D-rings, limited to 6 guests so every seat has room, balance and a clear view.

  • Radio communication

Every guide carries a waterproof radio in constant contact with our put-in and a support team that shadows every descent.

  • Jungle medical kit

Every raft carries a sealed WFR-grade trauma kit. Our lead guides are Wilderness First Responders, recertified every year.

  • Daily river briefing

Water level, weather window and wildlife notes are reviewed every morning. We don't put a raft on the water if we don't trust the river that day.

Fifteen years. Tens of thousands of guests. Zero incidents. We intend to keep it that way.
